Fears of Young Latino Children

Our nation was built by immigrants and there is no dispute. Yet, many Americans, whose own history of migration is known, have created an anti-immigration culture that is impacting U.S. born children.  The population most affected is children born of undocumented parents.  These young children are faced with economic insecurities, health issues, education barriers, unsafe home environments, school discrimination, language barriers, all coupled with the fear of their families being deported and separated.  Communities throughout our nation will celebrate “El Dia de Los Ninos on April 30, we ask Americans to be cognizant that children are the victims of bad immigration policies in this country designed to deport and separate families.  It is the children who bear the greatest fear.
